A date for your diaries - June 29th 2006, Millennium Gloucester Hotel, London - sees the 6th Annual BPO Conference, dramatically titled 'Global Sourcing: The Next Wave'.
Despite the over-used banner headline, this should actually be a pretty useful session for all those interested in outsourcing. Chaired by David Beaney, the event has a pretty good line up of speakers and facilitators discussing such issues as shared services, back office, front office, transformation, technology and geographic considerations, like outsourcing business processes to China.
Organisations such as Zurich Financial, Centrica, Hutch Telecom, Barclays and others will be sharing their views, and my own colleague Debbie Brockbank, Xansa's Solutions Director for our NHS joint venture with the Department of Health, will be discussing the public sector, global sourcing and the JV route. It'll be interesting to see what the menacingly titled 'Innovate or Die' session can tell us that we don't already know about the impact of technology on offshoring.
Should be a good event!
